Starting your fitness journey

Making a start can seem hard when your focussing on the end result. So lets rewire your thinking, is your goal to lose a few kg's? Add inches to your glutes? Increase your lifts? Whatever your end of year goal, you can break it down into bite size pieces

Lets give an example. Your goal is to lose 30kg by the end of the year, but that big number seems daunting and out of reach. However, if you break this down into mini goals (6 months, 1 month, 1 week) you get a much smaller and achievable number, and the idea of losing 0.5kg a week starts to sound more manageable.

To start out i highly recommend having a plan, this could be set days you plan to exercise, aiming for 2 workouts a week to start then once this becomes a habit and you're going consistently each week, adding an extra day in and increasing the intensity.

How do i track my workout?

Once you have your plan in place its time to take note and track your improvements to make sure each training session you're lifting heavier/ increasing reps, or if you're focussing more on the cardio side of things, getting faster/ going for longer/ decreasing your time doing the same workout.

When you sign up to Jessie PT online coaching you get exclusive access to a progress tracking app so that you can effortlessly improve, showing you your previous personal bests.

On this app you are also able to track your weight/ measurements/ progress photos, so you're able to see the trend of your hard work and motivating you to keep going.
